Enduro Africa is a challenging and unique motorcycle adventure in aid of 4 great charities: UNICEF; Sentebale; The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund; Touch Africa.

My name is Alan Potts and my company, BUYability Limited, is sponsoring me to take part in a ‘Not-for-Profit’ Charity Adventure called Enduro Africa. It all started as a simple idea to ‘find something worthwhile to do in 2011′… but it’s beginning to feel quite scary now that I’ve realised what’s actually involved.

What’s The BIG Idea?

  1. Take one "mature", overweight and slightly menopausal male biker (with little off-road experience) and send him to Africa.
  2. Challenge him to ride 2000 kms off-road through the roughest, wildest African terrain.
  3. Raise as much sponsorship money as possible and provide motorbikes to health workers in Zimbabwe to help them in their fight against childhood AIDS.

My Mission

Alan's AvatarTo personally raise over £5,000 in sponsorship before October 2011. My company, BUYability, has contributed £2,500 to get the ball rolling, so we’re half-way there already! Your donation can help to save the lives of some of the world’s poorest children.

My Motivation

Inspired by Charley Boorman & Ewan McGregor doing it in 2007. Impressed when William and Harry did it in 2008. Now.. Foolish enough to have a go at it myself! No awards for me. The satisfaction of doing something positive for 4 great charities will be more than enough.

My Request

With enormous support from the global biking family and the cream of the world’s biking press, Enduro Africa aims to raise at least £150,000 for South Africa and Lesotho. Please join me and help contribute by donating some money. You will be helping to save the lives of some of Africa’s poorest people.
